New 2009-2010 BCS Predictions and Bowl Projections posted

Week one is officially in the books and what an outstanding Labor Day weekend of College Football!

It started with a defensive battle as South Carolina defeated NC State 7-3 and ended with an offensive shootout that left Florida State with three chances to win the game late from inside the five yard line before falling to Miami 38-34.

We’ve got all the latest 2009-2010 BCS Predictions and Bowl Projections posted.  These include the projections for MrBCS.com as well as those from our friends at ESPN, CBS Sportsline and Sports Illustrated.

Here’s a summary of a few changes.

We now believe it is clear the SEC will get two teams into the BCS, with Alabama securing a berth in the Sugar Bowl opposite Pittsburgh.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach is now agreeing with MrBCS.com that California will make it into the BCS playing Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl. Mark also believes Ohio State will no longer make the BCS, with Penn State winning the Big Ten Conference.

Rose Bowl: USC (Pac-10 Champion) vs. Penn State (Big Ten Champion)

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Ohio State (At-large) vs. Boise State (At-large)

FedEx Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech (ACC Champion) vs. Cal (At-large)

AllState Sugar Bowl: Alabama (At-large) vs. Pittsburgh (Big East Champion)
